Nearshore AI & Software Development for US Companies
Algoseed Labs is a software and AI development team in Montréal, working with companies across the United States, Canada and internationally. We're on Eastern Time, so we work the same hours as teams in New York, Boston, Atlanta and Miami, and overlap most of the day with Chicago, Denver and the West Coast. You get the collaboration of a local partner with the reach of a nearshore one.
We built BuilderLync, an AI-powered operating system for roofing contractors: CRM, satellite-measured estimates, proposals, scheduling, invoicing and an AI agent that follows up on every lead.
We built the Making Vinyl Marketplace, a Shopify-based B2B marketplace where the vinyl record manufacturing industry finds equipment, parts, materials and services from verified suppliers.
“What impressed us most was how easy and enjoyable Deep and Nick made the collaboration.”
Why US teams work with a nearshore partner in Montréal
Same time zone, real collaboration
Montréal is on Eastern Time. Stand-ups, reviews and decisions happen during your working day, not overnight, so questions get answered in hours instead of days.
A short trip, not a long-haul flight
Montréal is a short direct flight from New York, Boston and many other US cities, so kickoffs and workshops in person are easy when they matter.
Senior engineers who own the outcome
We work in short iterations with regular demos, code reviews and quality checks at every step, and we stay involved after launch.
Your code, your accounts
Code, designs and documentation are delivered to you and live in your own repositories and cloud accounts. You own them.
Hosted where you need it
We build on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud and can keep your data in US regions, or in Canada, depending on your requirements.
Clear communication
Our clients highlight our project management and responsiveness: shared Slack channels, video calls and your own project tools, in English.
Selected case studies

Frequently asked questions
What does nearshore mean, and how is it different from offshore?
Nearshore means working with a team in a nearby country and a similar time zone. With an offshore team many time zones away, most communication happens asynchronously. A nearshore team in Montréal works your hours, which makes daily collaboration, quick decisions and in-person visits much easier.
How much of our working day overlaps with yours?
All of it on the East Coast, since we're on Eastern Time. With Central and Mountain Time teams the overlap is most of the day, and with Pacific Time teams it covers your morning and early afternoon.
Who owns the code and intellectual property?
You do. Code, designs and documentation are delivered to you and live in your own repositories and cloud accounts.
Can our data stay in the United States?
Yes. AWS, Azure and Google Cloud all offer US regions, and we can design your infrastructure so your data is hosted in the US.
Do you only work with Canadian companies?
No. We're based in Montréal and work with clients across the United States, Canada and internationally, remotely or on site.
