Algoseed Labs ("we") is a technology agency based in Montréal, Québec. This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal information we collect through algoseedlabs.com, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and Canadian privacy law.
Who is responsible

What we collect, and why
- Contact form: your first and last name, email, company, project type and message. We use them to answer you, prepare proposals and follow up. They are emailed to our team and recorded as a lead in our customer-relationship management (CRM) system.
- Chat assistant: the messages you type, and any name, email or phone number you choose to share, together with the page you're on. Messages are answered by an AI model, stored so our team can follow up, and summarised by email to our team and in our CRM.
- Newsletter: your email address, to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email or by writing to us.
- Usage analytics: through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, information about how you use the site — pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, approximate location and, for Clarity, recordings of on-page interactions. We use it to understand and improve the site.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser information to deliver pages and protect the service.
Cookies, tracking and browser storage
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies and similar technologies that can identify your device and analyse your behaviour on the site. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We also store two small preferences in your browser — your light or dark theme, and whether you've already seen our intro animation. They contain no personal information and never leave your device.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run this website and our business:
- Vercel — website hosting and server functions.
- Odoo — our CRM and newsletter tool.
- Our email provider — delivering contact-form and chat messages to our team.
- Anthropic — the AI model that answers chat messages.
- Upstash — storage of chat conversations.
- Google (Analytics and Fonts) and Microsoft (Clarity) — analytics and web fonts.
Some of these providers process information outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We choose providers that commit to protecting it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to the people who need it, and credentials kept on our servers rather than in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, or receive the computerized information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format. Write to info@algoseedlabs.com; we'll answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
