Shopify & E-commerce Agency in Canada

We design, build and grow Shopify stores and custom e-commerce for merchants across Canada, from Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, working from our Montréal office. We set up what selling nationally requires: provincial sales taxes, bilingual storefronts for Québec, accessible design and Canada-wide shipping. You own the store, the code and the data.

    Built for selling across Canada

Selling to customers in every province adds a few requirements that a store built for one market often misses.

    1. 01

      Sales tax by province

Provinces charge different combinations of GST, HST, PST and QST, and the rules depend on where your customer is. We configure Shopify taxes with your accountant before launch, since rates and registration rules change.

    2. 02

      French for Québec customers

Selling to Québec generally means French product pages, checkout and emails under the Charter of the French language. We build a real French storefront with its own URLs for search.

    3. 03

      Accessibility in Ontario

Ontario's AODA requires larger organizations' websites to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA. We design and build stores to that standard, which also helps every customer.

    4. 04

      Email marketing and privacy

Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires consent for marketing emails and texts, and privacy laws such as PIPEDA and Québec's Law 25 cover tracking. We set up consent and sign-up flows to match.

How to choose a Shopify agency in Canada

    • Canadian tax and shipping experience

Ask how they set up provincial sales taxes and Canada-wide shipping rates, and test a checkout from another province.

    • Real bilingual stores

If you sell to Québec, look for French checkout, emails and separate URLs, not an automatic translation layer.

    • Integrations and migrations

Inventory, POS, accounting and redirects during migration are where projects succeed or fail.

    • Ownership and time zone

The store, domain and data in your accounts, and a team that works your hours.

    Frequently asked questions

Do you work with Shopify merchants outside Montréal?
Yes. We work with merchants across Canada, including Ontario, the Prairies, British Columbia and the Atlantic provinces, remotely from our Montréal office, as well as in the United States.
Can you set up sales taxes for every province?
Yes. We configure GST, HST, PST and QST in Shopify with your accountant before launch, so customers in each province are charged correctly.
Do we need a French version of our store?
If you sell to customers in Québec, generally yes: the Charter of the French language expects commercial content in French. We build French storefronts with their own URLs, checkout and emails.
Can you migrate our store to Shopify?
Yes. We migrate products, variants, customers and orders from platforms such as WooCommerce or Magento, and set up URL redirects so you keep your search rankings.
Is our store accessible enough for Ontario?
Ontario's AODA requires larger organizations' websites to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA. We build to that standard and can review an existing store against it.
How much does a Shopify store cost?
A configured theme costs far less than a custom marketplace. Custom work is estimated in hours at our published rate of $50–$99 USD per hour; we give you an estimate after a short discovery call.
